Pamela “Pam” Hasty Morris, beloved mother, Meme, great grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at her residence on February 5, 2024. She was born on September 26, 1955, in Turner County, Georgia, to John Thomas Hasty and Virginia Dean Hasty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by the love of her life, Louell Wynn Morris who died August 1, 2022.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Bethel Baptist Church of Sycamore with Rev. Rex Johnson and Rev. Marcus Rolle officiating. Interment will follow in Irwinville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Pam's life was filled with love, joy, and laughter. She radiated kindness and had a remarkable ability to find the good in everyone she met. Pam never knew a stranger and cherished the warmth of relationships. She loved telling stories and jokes that would light up any room she entered.
Professionally, Pam had a successful career as a paralegal with Sims & Fleming, PC Attorneys. Her dedication to her work was admirable, and she always gave her best to assist those in need.
Education played a significant role in Pam’s life. She graduated with honors from Turner County High School in 1973. Pamela further pursued her passion by earning an associate’s degree in Paralegal Science from ABAC.
Faith held a special place in Pam's heart, and she was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Sycamore for many years. Prior to that, she was a devoted member of Northside Baptist Church where she loved volunteering in the nursery and rocking the babies. Her commitment to her faith provided her with strength and solace throughout her life.
Pam found immense joy in being a mother and grandmother. She treasured the time spent with her family. Her children include; Lori Shirah of Sycamore, Shana Green, Wynne Morris, and Lou Morris all of Tifton. Pam's love extended further as she embraced fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Peggy and Tommy Hauesler of Arabi, and Johnna and Keith Story of Sycamore. Family gatherings were always made special by her presence as she delighted in spending quality time with loved ones.
In addition to her immediate family, her bonus children are Beth and Ronnie Busbin of Wedowee, Alabama, Chad Morris of Irwinville and Misty Winzenreid of Tifton.
Pam's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit and loving nature will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate to have known her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 2245 Bethel Rd, Sycamore, GA 31790.
