Obituary
It is with bittersweet sadness that we announce the death of Pamela "Pam" Elaine Pestana of Rocklin, California. Pamela passed in her sleep seven years after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
Pamela was born in Oakland, California on August 26, 1952, the first daughter of Eulene and Clarence. She grew up in Castro Valley, California with her younger sister, Trude. Pamela graduated from Castro Valley High School in 1971. Upon graduation, she earned her cosmetology license from Castro Valley Beauty Academy. She then went on to work for General Motors and eventually New United Motors Inc. until her retirement in 2010. After retiring, Pamela went on to earn her Medical Assistant Certification and worked within Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.
Pamela was known for her vivacious spirit and her deep love for her family. She is survived by her three children, Jason (Jana) Cooper of Loma Rica, Ryan (Maurisa) O'Kennon of Martinez and Jenna (Ryan) Fonseca of Loomis. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jessica, Wyatt, Logan, Madeline, Ronan and Emiliana as well as her great-grandchildren Liam, Lily, Paisley, and Weston. She is also survived by her beloved sister Trude Pestana (Jane) of Pt. Richmond.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 16 at the Lassila Funeral Chapel, 551 Grass Valley Highway in Auburn, CA.
