Pamela Reed, age 59, of Vernon, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1st, 2025, at Newton Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Warwick, NY to the late Jack and Judi (Greene) Wigley, Pamela was raised in West Milford and had called Vernon home for the past 28 years. She was married to her devoted husband, Steven Reed, for 33 wonderful years, building a life centered on love, family, and community. Pam worked for many years in the Vernon Township School District, where she formed lasting friendships and was known for her kind and fierce personality. She was also an active member of the Scenic Lakes community, where Steven and her raised their kids and created lifelong friendships. Pam enjoyed time down the shore, gatherings with friends, and relaxing at home with her family. Her greatest joy came from being with the people she loved - especially her daughters. She is predeceased by her parents and is survived by her beloved husband, Steven Reed; her cherished daughters, Taylor Clark and her husband Christopher, and Hannah Reed; her loving siblings, Debra Donleavy (William), and John Wigley (Diane); mother-in-law Carol Shea; her in-laws, David Reed (Roberta), and Leanne Ryan (Mitch); and many dear nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Pamela is also survived by her grand-dogs, Nash, Barkley, and Riley, who always made her smile. A memorial visitation to celebrate Pamela's life will be held on Sunday, September 7th, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ 07462 (One Vanderhoof Court for GPS). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pamela's memory to the Lymphoma Research Foundation at lymphoma.org.
