She was preceded in death by her parents (Howard Parks, Bonnelle and Max Weaver) and siblings (Loy Parks, Lois Lovell, and Lynda Parks). She is deeply mourned by her devoted husband of 43 years Jerry Sheffield, daughter Lacee, son Derek, daughter-in-law Kate, and granddaughters Atlee and Ava, as well as her surviving siblings (Francis Etris, Nell Cato, Paulette Parks, Angie Seabolt) and many other friends and family whom she loved deeply.
She was many things to those lucky enough to know her, but at her core, she was love and she was light. She gave of herself selflessly time and again with the perfect conviction that love never fails. And she never did. The world is warmer for having had her in it, and we are blessed to live in the remnants of her glow. We will love and miss her always.
Graveside services will be held at Dahlonega Memorial Park on Monday, October 13, at 11 o'clock in the morning.
