Pamela Smithwick, 72, of Edinburgh, Texas, formerly of Uvalde, Texas passed away on March 12, 2025, in DHR Health Hospice in Edinburg, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, at 2 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary, with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
She was born on October 26, 1952, in Uvalde, Texas to Olga (Quesada) and Eulalio M. Cruz.
She married William Smithwick on February 8, 1992, in Uvalde, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, William Smithwick of Edinburgh; two sisters, Lucy Sandoval and husband, Gilbert of Uvalde and Olga Cruz Reyes of San Antonio; sister in-law, Ann Smithwick of San Antonio; stepson, Justin Smithwick of Edinburg; ex brother in law, Rolando Reyes of Uvalde; nieces and nephews, Gilbert Sandoval, Jr., and wife, Jennifer, Gigi Beza and husband, Eddy Pete, Sr., Adriana Galindo and husband Carlos, Charles Downing and wife, Laura, Marlowe Downing and wife, Beth, Selina Sandoval, Roland Reyes, Rene Reyes, Angela Reyes, and Candace Estrada; and great nieces and nephews, Gilbert Pete Beza, Eddy Pete Beza, Jr., Blaine Sandoval, Abigayle Sandoval, Dorothy Sandoval, Elizabeth Sandoval, Claire Sandoval, Lucy Jo McHazlett, Lily Ann McHazlett, Derrick Roel Ruiz, Alexa Arianne Alaniz, Anissa Arielle Alaniz, Krystanna Angel Martinez, Carleigh Rose Galindo, Camryn Skye Luna, Millie Downing, Rowan Downing, Lewis Downing, Noah Downing, Oliver Downing and Joan Downing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eulalio M. and Olga Cruz and brother, Lalo Cruz, Jr.
