Pamela Faye Wallis, age 68, of Madison, Mississippi formerly of
Riverton, Utah, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, Cleveland, OH awaiting a lung transplant. Pam was born April 22, 1957, in Fort Campbell, KY where her Dad was stationed in the Army.
Pam lived in several locations during her childhood: Newport News, Virginia; Austell, Georgia; Huntsville, Alabama; and Livorno, Italy. After her father's retirement from the Army, the family settled in Hunter, Utah - down the road from her future husband, Steve Wallis. After attending Utah State University for one year, Pam and Steve were married on June 12, 1976, one month before our country's bicentennial. Their marriage produced four wonderful children: Danny, Rachael, David, and Rebecca.
Pamela was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings during her life.
For the majority of her career, Pam was a Senior Vice President for Zions Bancorporation. After 38 years she eventually went on to start her own business, consulting on Business Continuity and Risk. The day after she retired due to her illness, she volunteered to become a research participant and representative case for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
She enjoyed time spent with her family at our cabin in the Uintah Mountains, at Lake Powell, at the beach, and on many visits to Disney Parks. She enjoyed computer technology and its advancement over the years. She also enjoyed her many creative skills as an advanced quilter, cross stitcher, knitter, crocheter, seamstress, toll painter, and gardener. After first being overwhelmed, she learned to adore spending time with the very large family she married into.
Pam's survivors include her husband of 49 years: Steven; children: Danny and David Wallis and Becca (Jeremy) Ketchum and Jeff Patton; grandsons: Harbor, Tannon and Soren Ketchum; granddaughters: Alexandria, Lucy and Ruby Wallis; brother: Dale (Tammy) Clayton; and a large extended family including in-laws, dozens of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. Pam was grateful for many close and dear friends.
Preceding Pamela in death are her daughter, Rachael Patton and parents, Art and Kathy Clayton.
The family requests donations be made to the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). https://donate.justgiving.com/charity/unitednetworkfororgansharing/donation.
Steve would like to extend great thanks to the Cleveland Clinic and the many doctors, nurses, physical therapists, housekeepers, and staff for exceptional care and concern for Pam during her stay with them and the entire duration of her care. Steve is also very grateful to Dale and Tammy Clayton for opening their home, caring for, transporting, feeding, and all the loving care shown to us throughout this time in Ohio.
