Pasquale (Pat) N. O'Lucci (Lt. Colonel Retired)
September 28, 1937 – February 22, 2025
Pasquale (Pat) N. O'Lucci, Age 87, of Johnstown passed away on Saturday February 22nd, 2025, after a brief, but hard fought battle with cancer, at the Mountain Valley Hospice House.
He was born on September 28th, 1937, at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, the son of the late Peter T. O'Lucci and Immaculata (Mabel) (DeCicco) O'Lucci. Of Johnstown.
Pat was a class of 1956 graduate of the Johnstown High School He was first employed as a pay phone collector for the GTE telephone company. He continued his employment with GTE and subsequent companies. Pat was promoted throughout his 33 year career to the sales and marketing department.
Pat enlisted in the United States Army and was accepted into the officer's Candidates training program at Ft. Benning Ga., where he received his commission as a Second Lieutenant. Pat transferred to the New York Army National Guard and became commander of the 27th Transportation Battalion located at the National Guard Armory in Gloversville. Pat received additional promotions and was transferred to Amsterdam becoming the Commander of the Amsterdam Armory, he was then transferred to Schenectady where he became the Commander at that Armory. Pat was promoted and transferred to the Division of Military and Naval Affairs at the Albany County Airport, where he served in several positions. Pat was a graduate of the United Stated Army Command and General Staff College at Ft. Leavenworth Kansas.
Pat was of the Catholic faith and an active member of the former Immaculate Conception Church. He was a communicate of the current Holy Trinity Church. Pat was a lifelong member of the Johnstown Knights of Columbus.
Pat served in many organizations to include as a Member of the Fulton County Board of Supervisors for several terms where he also served as the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors during his time. Pat was also a member of the Glove Cities Rotary Club where he served as president, he was on the board of directors for the Upstate Federal Telephone Credit Union for over 40 years, and a member of the 27th Division Association.
Pat is survived by his Brother Gene (Mary) O'Lucci of Saratoga Springs, two sons, Peter T. O'Lucci (Linda Stegagno) of Johnstown and Joseph N. O'Lucci (Karen) of Gardner Kansas. Pat had two granddaughters who he loved Candace O'Lucci (James Allen) of Gardner Kansas, and Makala Louise O'Lucci, of Kansas City Kansas. Pat had one great granddaughter Adelynn Fleuren also of Gardner Kansas along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Pat was predeceased by his loving wife Louise, Sister-in-law Dottie O'Lucci. Several other relatives.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday March 1st, 2025 at Holy Trinity Church, Glebe Street,
Johnstown, New York. The mass will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Morrette, his former Pastor and Rev. Matthew Frisoni of the Diocese of Albany's Marriage Tribunal.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, February 28th, 2025 at from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown.
Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown at a later date.
