Pasquale E. Vascimini, "Pete" as he was affectionately known by so many, was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family.
Pete was born in Brooklyn, NY, the second child of Pasquale and Virginia Vascimini. After graduating New Utrecht High School and the RCA Institute, Pete focused his attention on mastering the skills being taught to him by his father, who was a master carpenter and violin maker. Pete adapted those skills along with his brothers and they became expert furniture makers. The brothers soon established their own furniture business, Vascimini Bros. Inc., which became a local icon in Brooklyn, NY.
Pete met the love of his life, Louise, at a church dance and married in 1954. They spent nearly 70 years together. Pete and Louise began their married life in Brooklyn and raised three beautiful children. They enjoyed their second home on the Long Island shore with their family for many years. Eventually, they spent their retirement residing in
Chestnut Ridge, NY. Together with his family, Pete celebrated his 100th birthday last February.
Pete is survived by his loving wife, Louise of Chestnut Ridge, his daughter, Virginia Vuolo and her husband, Anthony of
Upper Saddle River, NJ, his daughter Theresa Fosdal and her husband, Robert of West Hartford, CT, his son, Pasquale Vascimini and his wife, Rebeca of Stamford, CT and his sister-in-law, Nancy DeFelippi of
