Pastor Leslie Drew Thompson, son of the late Rev. James L., Sr. and Helen A. Thompson, was born on September 1, 1961 and departed this earthly life into eternal rest on November 12, 2025 at the age of 64.

Pastor Thompson accepted the Lord as his Personal Savior at an early age and spent the majority of his life serving him in ministry.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife of 42 years, Wanda L Thompson; son, Leslie D Thompson II; daughters, LeShawn D. Thompson and Justine N. Davis (Ralph); beloved grandchildren, Gabrielle, Joelle, LeTrell, Jaliyah, Logan, Carmelo, Kamari, and Kareem; brothers, James Jr., Mark (Ernestine) and Alton N. (Sharon); sister, Marilyn; brothers-in-law, Clifton Wilmot (Michelle), Alonzo Wilmot (Rachel) and Timothy Wilmot (Julie); sisters-in-law, Charlean Wilmot, Wilma Wilmot and Diane Thompson; Aunt Dorethea Christie of Oxford, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, James L., Sr., and Helen A. Thompson, and brothers, Gene Thompson and Donald Thompson.

The family invites you to honor Pastor Thompson’s life on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the North East Methodist Church, 308 S. Main St. North East, MD 21901. Family and friends may call for a viewing from 10 am – 12 noon. Homegoing Service will be at 12 noon. Interment will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in North East, MD. Pastor Tony Lawson, Sr., of True Light Freewill Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD, will officiate.
