Patrice Jones, 57, of Pine Bluff, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022. She was born March 1, 1965, to Lt. Col. James S. Davis, retired U.S. Army, and Elizabeth "Jessie" Davis in Honolulu, Hawaii. As a child, her father's career took her family to many posts around the world from Hawaii to Germany and back to Louisiana, where she graduated from Pineville High School. After High School, Patrice worked her way through college and graduated from Louisiana State University in 1987.
After meeting for the first time on July 2, 1988, Patrice married her beloved husband, Kelly Jones on February 14, 1989 in Pensacola, Florida. In 1994 Patrice, Kelly and their son, Zachary, moved to Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where she made a home for her family. While Zachary was a young child, Patrice thrived as a stay-at-home mom and a youth group director at Hawley United Methodist Church.
Patrice began her career in 1997 as the civilian Outreach Office Manager for Chemical Disposal. In early 2000, she moved to the Pine Bluff Arsenal as a contractor in support of PBAC. In 2006 she joined PBAC as a Federal employee in the role of Administrative Support Assistant. Over the years, Patrice gained a reputation for being an unparalleled, valued asset in every role she held, including her last job as a Financial Management Specialist.
Patrice is preceded in death by her father, James S. Davis (2008) and infant daughter, Sarah Jones (1990). Survivors include her mother, Elizabeth "Jessie" Davis of Pineville, Louisiana; her husband, Kelly Jones of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; son, Zachary (Taylor) Jones of Cabot, Arkansas; grandchildren, Indiana and Luna Jones of Cabot, Arkansas; siblings, Bill (Carol Ann) Davis of Vancouver, Washington, Mark (Julie) Davis of Roswell Georgia, Barbara Simes of Pineville, Louisiana, and Lee (Kristin) Davis of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.
Patrice was dedicated in her faith and started each day with a morning devotional. She was an avid reader, phenomenal cook, and an expert at building Legos with the help of her two granddaughters. She will be remembered as an attentive and loving wife, mother and grandmother, wonderful daughter and sister, as well as an active member of her church and community. Patrice will also be remembered for her smile, her love of music and her zest for life.
A Visitation will be held July 29, 2022 at Fuller Hale South in Pine Bluff, Arkansas from 4:00 - 6:00.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held July 30, 2022 at Hawley United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas at 2:00 with a reception to follow.
