Patricia L. "Waddie" Anderson

Patricia Lorraine (Waddie) Anderson, passed on August 23, 2025, after 89 fulfilling years. Born on March 13, 1936, in Boston, Massachusetts. Daughter to Joseph W. and Rosalind (Farnum) Waddie. She leaves behind a legacy of love as the devoted wife of Edward Anderson, to whom she was married for over 70 years. Together, they raised a family that includes their children, Richard Anderson (Emma), David Anderson (Tracy), Laura Owen (Jim) and bonus son Steven Davis. Patricia also leaves her three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A longtime resident of Cambridge in her younger years, she held a close bond with her siblings and family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Hill, and her brothers, Joseph, Rodney, and John Waddie.

Professionally, Patricia was a paragon of excellence. For over 35 years, she served as a Provider Claims Administrator at Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance, where her astute leadership and unwavering commitment to healthcare set the standard for those who followed. Outside of her great accomplishments, she was an avid football fan. Patricia rooted for the New England Patriots and cheered for them with pride.

She will be missed by her family, friends, neighbors and all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation period Thursday, September 4th from 10:00-11:00 AM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 North Main Street, Randolph. A Funeral Service in the funeral home will begin immediately following at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private.
