Patricia Jo Baker

Patricia Jo Baker, 73, of Amarillo, TX passed away on September 21, 2021.

She was born on June 24, 1948, in Abilene, TX to Homer and Dorothy Hill. The family relocated to Amarillo shortly after where she remained for the majority of her life. She married the love of her life, Tim Baker, in 1966 and together they raised a family and enjoyed 42 wonderful years until his passing in 2008. Tricia was a tremendously loving and caring daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by many.

She had a number of great golfing and tennis friends, and some of her favorite times were spent hanging out with them on her back porch at Tascosa CC where she lived for over 30 years. She found no greater joy, however, than spending time with her family. She was a fierce supporter of her family and could find a way to encourage and help them through any challenge or hardship. Tricia loved to have a good time with her family, and many of their best memories are centered around annual summer vacations with the entire clan. They will all fondly remember this year's trip when over 20 of them traveled to Florida in August.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived by her son, Brent Baker and wife Andrea of Fayetteville AR; daughter, Breena Roberts and husband Jayson of Amarillo, TX; brother, Allen Hill and wife Mary of Austin, TX; brother, Byron Hill and wife Cyndi of Amarillo, TX; and many nieces and nephews. Her favorite job though was that of an extra special "Mimi" to 7 grandkids, Alexis and husband David, Mackenzie, Jake and wife Kendra, Evan, Julian, Caitlyn, and Wyatt; and 4 great-grandkids, Bennett, Bryce, Nash, and Waylen.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 24th, 2021, at 2:00 P.M., at Hillside Christian Church, 6100 S Soncy Rd. in Amarillo.
