her warm smile, kindness, and slightly silly spirit, was born in Chicago, IL. That is where she met and
married her husband, Martin Sem Chew, in 1957. They moved to Hoffman Estates in 1964 where they
raised their two daughters. Pat remained a resident of Hoffman Estates for nearly 60 years.
Pat is the loving mother of Crystal (Jeff) Kirk, Janice (Vic) Simkus, and step-son Alex (Mary Anne)
Geertsma; cherished grandmother of Kyle (Cora), Kristin, Nicholas, Maddie, Matthew (Jennifer), and
Meleah (Luke); great grandmother of Erik, Katie, and Hiro. She is preceded in death by her husband,
parents and 3 siblings.
The family would like to express their gratitude to The Heathers Senior Homes for providing a safe and
nurturing home for the past two years, and to Suncrest Hospice for providing comfort in her final days.
Visitation will be 9 to 10 am on Tuesday, November 11 at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation
Services, 330 W Golf Road, Schaumburg. Graveside service following at 11: 00 am at Rosehill Cemetery,
5800 N Ravenswood Ave, Chicago.
