Patricia “Pat” Marie Dell, 65, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024.

Pat was born April 4, 1958, in Carrington, ND, to Oscar and Leatrice (Haugstad) Dell. She graduated from Carrington High School in 1976 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Mayville State College. Working as a nanny ignited her lifelong love for children and teaching. She enjoyed working for Concordia Language Villages, MPR, and Sanford providing office assistance and her self-taught skills in computers and IT services.  

Pat will be remembered for her compassionate love of people and animals, her love for children, especially her nieces and nephews, always putting others before herself. She loved quilting and sewing, researching genealogy, classical music, playing piano and singing in church with her sisters. Travel was a highlight of her life which included trips to the North Shore with Steve Savary, companion of ten years and to Norway with her mom, Lea. 

Pat is survived by her loving family: her mother, Lea Dell; brothers, James (Lois) Dell and their children, Geneva (James) and Jacob; Larry (Debra) Dell and their children, Aerrick (Jen), Naomi, Christina (Devin), Sara (Dave) and Brittany; sister, Peggy Dell and her children, Kateri and Lee; brother-in-law, Rod Higgins and his children, Jared (Becca), Derek and Drew, and her beloved cats, Abby and Zoey. She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar Dell; sister, Janet Higgins and longtime companion, Steve Savary.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 2:00 P.M., with visitation for one hour before the service, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
