Patricia Elsis Obituary

Patricia was retired after working many years as a customer service rep for Maersk Line and American Stevedoring in Port Newark. She was especially fond of attending noon mass at Stella Maris chapel in the port during her career.
She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved her family to Rahway in 1974 following her childhood friends. Patricia enjoyed going into NYC, Broadway plays, dancing, singing, traveling and planting but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and lifelong friends.
Surviving are her son John Elsis and his girlfriend Grace, and daughters Catherine Wagner and her husband Frank and Stephanie Mekovetz and her husband John. She will be missed by her 5 grandchildren, Victoria, Samantha, Tyler, Dylan and Alexis. She is also survived by her sister Regina Stevens and many nieces and nephews. Patricia was predeceased by her sister Sandra Mahoney.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home located at 275 W. Milton Ave. in Rahway. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 10:00 am on Saturday November 30, 2024, at St. Anne's Church, located at 325 2nd Ave. in Garwood. Entombment will immediately follow in St. Gertude's Cemetery, Colonia.
