Patricia Gertrude Gawlik

Patricia Gertrude "Pat" Gawlik (née Barc), age 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. A devoted Catholic throughout her life, Patricia answered a spiritual calling early on as a nun with the Sisters of Humility of Mary. Her deep faith remained a guiding force throughout her years. She later embraced family life with equal devotion and grace. Patricia had a passion for teaching and spent many years sharing knowledge and nurturing young minds. Her warmth extended far beyond the classroom-she was known as "a grandma to all," offering kindness and care to everyone she met. Whether cheering on her favorite Chicago sports teams or spending time with loved ones, Patricia brought joy and comfort to those around her. Patricia is survived by her devoted children Mike (Beata) Gawlik, Christopher Gawlik and Joanne (Jason) Beilke; her cherished grandchildren Michael Jr. (Becky), Nicole, Danielle, Morgan, Peter, Kayla, Kyle, Kolby, Jason Jr. (Abby), Joseph, Josie, Justin, and Janelle; great-grandchildren Evan, Maverick, and Cynzie; and grand-pets Stella, Zoe, Leia, Angel, Tilly, Sassy, Ozzy and Tracy. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her parents, Stanley and Gertrude; and her baby brother, Ralph. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 3-8 pm at Anderson Memorial Home, 21131 W Renwick Rd, Plainfield IL 60544. Cremation rites to be accorded. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Congregation of the Humility of Mary, 820 W Central Park Ave, Davenport IA 52804.
