Patricia Weatherly Howard, 82, of Pampa, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, in Pampa.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Rick Parnell, a retired Baptist minister, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory. Her service will be livestreamed through the funeral home's website.
Patricia will have a memorial state room available from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
The family will have a visitation to receive friends from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Pat was born in Elk City, Oklahoma and moved with her family to Pampa in 1954. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1958 and married Leslie Howard the following year. Their 63 year long marriage was a loving one and together they created a lovely family. She worked as a secretary for Nibco Brass in Nacogdoches while Leslie got his degree from Stephen F. Austin State College. She was also a receptionist for several local medical doctors in Pampa prior to retiring.
Pat loved to watch high school, college, and pro football, and was a life-long Harvester fan. She also enjoyed working in her yard, growing pretty flowers, an cutting her own lawn. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lanny and Clemmie Weatherly; one brother, L.O. Weatherly; and two sisters, Leota Author and Rosalie Doucette.
She is survived by her husband, Leslie Howard; one son, Blake Howard and wife Toni; one daughter, Karie James and husband Richie; three grandsons, Ryan James, Logan Howard and wife Kamie, and Jaden Howard and wife Aby; one granddaughter, Kelsi James and husband Oscar, and son, Grayson; two great-grandsons, Beckett and Wells Howard; one great-granddaughter, Blakely Howard; four siblings, Sandra Roberson and husband Joe, Susie Johnson and husband Phil, Johnnie Weatherly and wife Rose, and Jimmy Weatherly and wife Judy; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the First Methodist Church, 201 E Foster Ave, Pampa, Texas, 79065 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, Maryland, 21741.
