Born on Wednesday, January 20th, 1954, in Talladega, Alabama, to the late Ross and Georgia Whitson, Sr., Patricia was a cherished member of her family and a beloved friend to many.

Patricia was a devout evangelistic missionary and an active church member, serving on the Church Trustee Board, leading as Chairman of the Sick and Shut-In Committee, and enriching others as a Sunday School Teacher and choir member. Her charitable work and love for reading and singing inspired those around her.

A well-educated woman, Patricia pursued her studies at Berea College and Ohio University. Professionally, she made significant contributions as an administrator at Joint Base Lewis-McChord before retiring in 2008 from the Department of Defense. Her work ethic and leadership left a lasting impact on her colleagues and community.

Patricia resided in Tacoma, Washington, where she created a loving home filled with warmth, compassion, and generosity. She was blessed with two devoted sons, Jahman (Kendra) Jenkins and Dominic Jenkins, both of Tacoma, WA. Patricia's legacy of love continues through her thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild who will forever cherish her memory.

A dedicated sister, Patricia is survived by her sisters, Ernestine Curry, Theresa Whitson, Diann Whitson, Debra (Victor) Wilson and Suzan Whitson, all of Talladega, AL; her brothers, Lonnie Whitson and Charles Whitson of Talladega, AL, Oliver (Carmelita) Whitson of Talladega, AL, Walter (Darlene) Whitson of Kent, AZ and Chris (Kelly) Whitson of Tacoma, WA; and her sister-in-law, Catherine Whitson of Boonton, NJ. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends who were fortunate to bask in her love and wisdom.

Missionary Patricia Faye Whitson-Jenkins, departed this life on Sunday, September 21st, 2025, at the age of 71 in Tacoma, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross Whitson Sr. and Georgia Alice Whitson, as well as her brother, Ross Whitson, Jr. Their spirits have undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms as she joins them in eternal rest.

On behalf of The Thomason Family, I extend our deepest condolences to The Whitson/Jenkins Families. Faye and I were classmates during our early years of life. She was extremely intelligent, caring and considerate of others.

May she find peace and happiness resting in the Bosom of Jesus Christ. Additionally, may her family be comforted in knowing that as a child of God, they will see her again. From all indications, Faye left a strong legacy for her children and others to pattern.

Jacqueline Thomason, Esq.
