Patricia Jane McKinney Jones

Pat was born in Andrews, North Carolina December, 1, 1945 to the late Paul and Marie Robinson McKinney. Pat attended the Black Elementary School in Andrews, graduated high school in Baltimore, Maryland and attended Morgan State University. Pat ended her work career with Andrews Senior Center shortly before her death.
Pat was also preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Charles Jones; two brothers, Ralph Robinson and Billy McKinney; and one infant daughter Geneva.
Surviving are a daughter, Pamela Jones of Andrews; a son, Steven Jones of Andrews; two sisters, Ruth Boone of El Paso, Texas and Mattie Neal of Andrews; one brother, Leslie McKinney of Andrews; also survived by many nieces; nephews; cousins; and a host of friends.
Pat had a sweet spirit, enjoyed a good laugh and was an excellent cook. Pat was devoted to her family, a fearless defender of family, friends and her rights. She was also head cheerleader for her many nephews and nieces. Jesus was always mentioned in her conversations.
A Celebration of Life was held from 2:00 pm Sunday, February 2, 2025 in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with Pastor Euriel Turner and Reverend Bryan Sutton officiating. Interment was in the Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kevin Allen, Scott Allen, Jeff Jones, Frank Jones, Christopher Jones and Cody McKinney. Honorary pallbearer was Antonio Hernandez.
The family received friends from 1:00 – 1:45 pm Sunday, February 2, 2025 prior to the service. A repass followed the services at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
