COOKEVILLE CHAPEL-Patricia Louise Netherton, born on December 27, 1951, in Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday June 18, 2025, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Patricia was a resident of the Antioch community in Nashville, TN. She was known for her warm spirit, sense of humor, and generous nature.
Patricia dedicated her professional life to programming for Lifeway Christian Resources, showcasing her expertise and passion for technology. After a fulfilling career, she retired, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and skill.
Educationally, she graduated from Putnam County Senior High School, and went on to earn her bachelors degree in business from Tennessee Tech University. Her commitment to education and personal growth remained a beacon throughout her life, inspiring those around her.
Beyond her career and academic achievements, Patricia was a talented musician, with fond memories of performing at the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on multiple occasions. Her musical journey also involved playing Doc Stone's Orchestra, further highlighting her passion for the art.
A woman of many interests, Patricia was recognized for her vibrant personality and her penchant for fun. She was particularly known for her love of Halloween and Christmas, where she went all out for the festivities, creating joyful memories with creative costumes for her family. Patricia was a member of Brentwood Baptist Church in Nashville toward the end of her life, Patsy also considered herself a Life Time member of Tusculum Hills Baptist Church.
She is survived by aunts and uncle, Flossie Bowman, Reba Koontz, Ruth Roberson, Sandy Ledbetter, Betty and Larry Walker and Lida Ledbetter, as well as a host of extended family.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Willard Netherton and Sara Louise Ledbetter Netherton.
A funeral service to honor Patricia will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday June 22 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Her cousins, David Netherton and Michael Netherton will officiate. Visitation for friends and family will be from 12 - 2 p.m. Patricia will be laid to rest at Double Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Frank Bowman, Wyatt Bowman, Bobby Ledbetter, Jim Roberson, Michael Borden, Craig Eggleton, Andy Harrell, and Mike Netherton.
Donations in lieu of flowers are requested for Double Springs Cemetery Fund.
Patricia Louise Netherton will be deeply missed for her generosity, her humor, and the light she brought into the lives of those around her.
