Patricia Pecman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McDermott Funeral Home - Kennedy Township - Coraopolis on Jul. 31, 2023.

Patricia Ann Pecman (Bitcko) age 76, of Shaler, passed away on Friday July 28, 2023.    Patty was born in Pittsburgh on February 3, 1947, daughter to the late Steven and Bernice Bitcko; beloved wife of Frank Pecman; loving mother of Jill (Michael) Camardese, Moon Township, John (Nicole) McGowan Jr., Moon Township and Brad “Pooky” (Stacey) McGowan, Kennedy Township; cherished grandmother “Maga” to seven grandchildren, Dennis “Jum” (Marisa) McGowan and Zachary McGowan, Shannon, Colby and Brendan Camardese, Tyler and Larissa McGowan, and two great grandchildren, Quinn and Xander McGowan; sister to Janet (Joe) Kurtyka, Stephen “Butch” (Carol) Bitcko and Mike (Susie) Bitcko; also survived by numerous nieces and nephew and many friends.

In addition to her parents, her in-laws Frank and Irene Pecman and her great friend Dawna Greco (McGowan) preceded her in death.

Patty grew up in Ambridge and graduated from Beaver Falls High School, raised her kids in Kennedy Township, and then lived with Frank in Shaler for the last 30 years.

Patty’s kids and grandkids were her everything, and never turned down a chance to watch and/or be with the grandkids.  Frank was the love of her life, and they shared a love of the kids and grandkids, and sports, especially the grandkids’ sports, Steelers, Pirates and Pitt football.   A favorite time for the whole family was beach trips to Myrtle Beach, a tradition for the last twenty-three years.  She enjoyed baking and believed the way to show love was through food.

Patty’s life had meaningful impact on many people, and her greatest legacy is the strong, loving foundation she built for her family.  She will be missed dearly.

Relatives and friends received Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 1-3 & 6-8 PM at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 334 Forest Grove Road, Coraopolis (Kennedy Township) PA 15108 where Funeral Service will be held Friday at 10 AM.
