Patricia Marjorie (Siffrin) Raymondi passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2025, surrounded by family and nature at the Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
Patricia (Patty) was born on March 26, 1931, in Massillon, OH to Robert and Catherine Siffrin. One of six siblings, she went to St. Joseph Catholic grade school and graduated from Central Catholic High School (Mount Marie).
Patty married Richard A. Raymondi on May 16, 1953, and had four children. When the kids were a bit older, Patty pursued her college education and, after 10 years, graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Library Science. She worked at Walker Middle School as a librarian and ended her career at Canton South High School where she tutored students in mathematics.
Patty was one of a dying breed of women who knew her Emily Post rules for proper etiquette and manners, from setting a perfect dining table to her fastidious attire. She was known to have all the right touches for any ensemble; everything was "just so". She was probably happiest though, digging in the garden, planting and nurturing flowers and vegetables. Most evenings she could be found winning at Jeopardy or watching the Cleveland Guardians. She was an avid birder, binoculars in hand at all times. Her love of nature passed to her children and grandchildren.
But family - husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren - came first. Patty assimilated into her Italian family over the years and was known to make a mean dish of spaghetti and meatballs. Salads, pies and butter ball cookies were among her specialties. The family had annual Christmas ravioli-making events under her strict supervision.
Patty was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Richard Raymondi and beloved son, Michael Raymondi, together on September 26, 2024. Also preceding were her parents; siblings and their spouses, Kathryn (James) Linehan, Sister Alma Siffrin, Robert (Murna) Siffrin and Rita (Robert) Marks; as well as in-laws, Michael and Frances Raymondi and Maria Hoch.
Surviving Patty are her loving children, Rick (Sia) Raymondi, Jeanne Pfabe, James (Samantha) Raymondi, and daughter in-law, Jean Raymondi. Also surviving are grandchildren, Ann Marie (Zach), Rick (Kaitlan) and Mike (Lorelei) Raymondi, James (Brittany) and Nicole (Brendon) Pfabe, Nathan and Kelsey (Justin) Raymondi. She also has 3 great-grandchildren, Max and Olive Pfabe and Ayla Raymondi. Patty leaves her brother, Paul (Eva Lou) Siffrin; sister-in-law, Jackie (Mike) Drew; and brother-in-law, Fred Hoch; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family may call on Friday, August 29th at Lamiell Funeral Home from 6 - 8pm and Saturday, August 30th at 9 am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. John's Basilica, at 10 am, officiated by Patty's nephew, the Most Reverend Monsignor Robert Siffrin. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
