William Joseph Nelligan passed away at Rose Lane Nursing Home, October 3, 2025, at the age of 79. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 2, 1946, to his late parents, Patrick and Claire (Trinkle) Nelligan. Also preceding him in death was his sister, Patricia Thiessen and son-in-law, Kevin Frank.
Proudly and with his unwavering faith, he served his country in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam era and retired from Superior Dairy after many years of dedicated service. He was a dedicated family man, whose love for his wife, children and grandchildren was easily seen in his day-to-day life. He enjoyed fishing and making long lasting memories with family and friends. He was a devoted member of Saint Clement Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish.
Left with precious memories of William is his wife of 54 years, Rosemary Nelligan; daughters, Christine Frank (Troy Sacco), Andrea (Jason) Haines, Michelle (Joseph) Whitmer; son, Michael (Heather) Nelligan; 13 grandchildren; and brother, Joseph (Cheryl) Nelligan.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM, Saint Clement Church, Holy Family Parish, Navarre. Father Fritz Schluter will serve as celebrant.
The family kindly suggests Memorial Contributions may be made to The Golden Key Center for Exceptional Children or The Alzheimer's Association.
