Patricia Anne Register (nee Damrow), 82, formerly of Packwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, after a brief and courageous battle with stage 4 glioblastoma.
Pat was born on November 19, 1942, to Charles Damrow and Emily (Popovich) Damrow in Reno, Nevada. She attended schools in Fontana, California, as well as Sheboygan and Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, in her youth. Pat attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and worked on the UW campus for many years as a clinical research assistant. Discovering, learning and exploring was her passion. She had an inquisitive mind and was a lifelong learner. Taking after her father, she was a natural born artist, displaying her creative abilities in photography, oil/acrylic painting, quilting, and beautiful porcelain doll creations.
She also had a passion for traveling, cooking, gardening, science fiction movies, genealogy, writing fiction, playing Scrabble, and learning the German language.
Pat is survived by one brother, Michael (Mary) Damrow of Manitowoc, Wisconsin; sister, Tracy Damrow, of Las Vegas, Nevada; children, Jeffrey (Regina) Theune, Michelle (Robert) Arthur, Daniel (Tracie) Theune; six grandchildren, Joshua (Amy) Arthur, Alissa (Jeremy) Schmidt, Zoe (Blake) Buddendorf, Evan (Morgan) Theune, Trei Laroche-Theune (Alanna Pierre), Trevor (Elisa) Laroche-Theune; seven great-grandchildren; and feline companions, Bodie and Lily.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Paul Cramer, and brother John Damrow.
Per Pat's wishes, no memorial service will take place. Her children will honor her in a private time together on Buffalo Lake, Packwaukee, Wisconsin, where she resided enjoying many good memories over the past 22 years.
We would like to thank Nikki Wallace (neighbor) for her friendship and support to Pat through the years and during her cancer journey; Sharon Dane and staff from Songbird Pond Assisted Living, Plymouth, Wisconsin; as well as the Sharon Richardson Hospice staff and (NODA) volunteers for their compassion and care. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. "Mit unserer Liebe nun habt ihr Frieden".
