Brenda Register

Brenda Joyce Register passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born in Tallahassee, Florida, on February 28, 1945. She resided in Madison, Florida for 29 years and then moved to Monticello, Florida in 1998. Brenda was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. Brenda worked as an inspector at Dixie Packers in Madison. She enjoyed reading and was active in the church until her health worsened.
Brenda was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Floyd "Edward" Register; son, Robert Joseph Register; and parents, Floyd and Willie Harris.
She is survived by her son, Wendell Edward Register (wife, Monica); her daughter, Linda Kay Laferriere (husband, Phil); grandchildren, Michelle Summers (husband, Erich), Abigail Thompson (husband, Chris), David Kirk, Samuel Register (wife, Kelly), Sally Shaver (husband, Harry), Sarah Mehlhoff (husband, Tallon), Savannah Register, Haley Register; and 9 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Begg's Funeral home at 485 E, Dogwood St. in Monticello on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 3 - 5pm. She will be interred in a funeral service at Tallahassee National Cemetery at 10am on Friday November 14, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Elizabeth Baptist Church.
