Patricia Rush Obituary
She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Louise (Bernier) Morin. Born October 19, 1936 in Hamel, MN, she was Valedictorian, graduating from Rockford High School in Rockford, MN. She married Robert Rush on November 24, 1956 in Corcoran, MN. Patricia always wanted to be a nurse and after raising 5 children, at age 50 she completed her bachelor's degree and RN from St. Anthony School of Nursing in Rockford, IL. She worked for many years at St. Anthony Hospital and as a visiting nurse before she retired. She was a long time member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church. Patricia was an excellent cook and enjoyed serving huge Thanksgiving meals to her family every year, a legendary meal all her children and grandchildren looked forward to.
She was preceded in death by her brother Donald Morin. She is survived by her brother John Morin, husband Robert of 66 years, children Mary Dada, Michael (Nancy) Rush, Michelle Cramer, Lisa Reif, Melinda (William) Shumaker; grandchildren Sean Dada, Sheena Dada, Sabrina (Aaron) Steffey, Jennifer Chavez, Jessica (Graham) Kilian, Nathan Rush, Katelynn (Matt) Stamm, Lori Reif, Sheri Reif, Cole Shumaker, Gage Shumaker, Halle Shumaker; great-grandchildren Quinn Steffey, Callan Steffey, Liam Steffey, Jasmine Chavez, Jack Kilian, Landynn Burnett, Maxx Cline, and Riley Reif.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in honor of Patricia Rush to Saint Anthony College of Nursing, HSC 3301 N Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61114.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 9:30 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave. Loves Park, IL 61111. Burial will conclude at a later date in Saint Jeanne de Chantel Cemetery, Corcoran, Minnesota.
