Patricia Lynn Stafford, age 71, of Osceola, went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2025, at the Center for Hospice, Raclin House, with her loving and longtime companion, Tommy Stewart, by her side.
Patricia, affectionately known as Patty, was born on July 9, 1954, in San Diego, California, to the late Patrick and Doris (Jacks) Stafford. She was living in Florida when she met Tommy while visiting relatives in Indiana. The two soon fell in love and shared an inseparable bond for the past 15 years. To Patty, Tommy was simply “her guy,” and together they built a life rooted in love, faith, and companionship.
She is survived by Tommy Stewart; her sons, Eric Overly and Kristian Fredenberg, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; and her sisters, Dorri (Terry) Kahl and Donna Kiger, both of Michigan. She is also survived by her stepsiblings, Billi Jo Brooks, Becki Davis, Mike Zeigler, and Laura Holbrook. She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Overly, and her stepfather, Raymond Casper.
Patty worked for many years in Las Vegas as a blackjack dealer before later working in several retail stores throughout the Michiana area. In her spare time, she enjoyed riding with Tommy on their Harley and participating in numerous charity rides, including the Angel of Hope Ride and Get Wet with a Vet, always willing to support causes that helped others in need.
Patty enjoyed spending time with her family, especially shopping with her sisters. She took great pride in her home and found joy planting beautiful flower gardens filled with zinnias. She also loved watching the birds gather at the feeders and bird houses placed among her flowers, finding peace in those quiet moments.
Above all else, Patty gave her heart fully to the Lord and served Him faithfully. She and Tommy shared daily devotionals, read the Bible together, and prayed continually for others. Her faith was central to her life, and she found great joy in watching The Chosen and deepening her understanding of Jesus.
There will be no visitation or services. Cruz Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with her arrangements.
