Patricia Anne Sutherland

Patricia Anne Sutherland, age 76, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023.
She was born on October 22, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Stanley & Genevieve Ferczykowski.
Survivors include her two children, Kelley (Larry) Wade and Karyn Sutherland, and grandchildren, Kammie Wade and Darryl Paulus. She is preceded in death by her Mother Gene Patterson and Robert Sutherland, father of Karyn and Kelley.
Patricia held jobs in sales for many years, but her favorite work was for the church. She never met a stranger. She always had stories of people she met while traveling and talked about how she would pray for them. She was a member of the Westview Christian Reformed Church. She loved her Lord and Savior above all and carried her desire to have people saved to everyone she met.
She enjoyed making prayer quilts and was an avid foodie. Her family's fondest memories of her are time spent laughing in the kitchen and cooking. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandchildren and sharing her talents. Her grandson Darryl has fond memories of the "hottest wing" contest they recently had. Her daughter Kelley recalls a weekend marathon of quilt-making for a gift because she needed help and Mom was there for her.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Kent County Humane Society. Pat loved all animals and there would be no better way to honor her than to care for those in need.
