In Loving Memory of Patricia Valle Lopez

February 13, 1973 – August 20, 2025

Heaven gained a beautiful soul on August 20th, 2025. Our beloved Patricia Valle Lopez has gone to be with her parents, and while our hearts are shattered, we find peace knowing she is finally resting in their arms. As I write this, it’s raining outside — and she always believed that when it rains, Heaven is welcoming someone special. Norma, her dearest friend and cousin, reminded me that the skies are weeping with us.

Patricia was born on February 13th, 1973, the cherished daughter of the late Xavier Valle Sr. and Sylvia Maldonado Valle. She was the baby of the family — and the only girl — lovingly surrounded and protected by her older brothers, Xavier Valle Jr., “Pinky,” and Enrique “Rick” Valle, as well as her younger siblings Nicolas Valle, Felipe Valle, Isaiah Valle, and Amarius Valle, and her sisters Eunique Valle and Emily Valle. She held a special place in their hearts until her final day.

Like her mother, Patricia passed down a legacy of strength, love, and leadership to her own daughter — Desirae, her firstborn and only girl, just like her. Desirae was her pride and joy, a reflection of everything beautiful Patricia gave to the world. Diego was her second child, whom she guarded with all her might. Richie was her baby, the one she loved openly and wholeheartedly.

Patricia was the center of our family, the glue that held us all together. She is survived by her loving husband — me, Richard Lopez — and our three amazing children:

Desirae Andrea Lopez, her fiancé Alberto “Ace” Acevedo Jr., and their children, Lilliana Patricia Elizondo and Alberto Joel Acevedo III — all of whom were the lights of Patricia’s life.

Our son Ricardo Diego Lopez, his fiancée Hope Corona, and their children, Jesus Amor Corona and Xavier Domingo Corona — along with our grandson, Mateo Huerta, who brought Patricia so much joy.

Our baby boy, Richie — the miracle child she nearly lost her life giving birth to, but whom she fought for with all her strength.

Patricia lived her life with unmatched love, courage, and grace. She supported me in everything — my work as a trades teacher, our construction business, and even in the smallest dreams I had for my students. She encouraged us all. She never hesitated to give — even when it meant we had nothing left. There were times she paid our workers from our own pockets, leaving us with little, but never let our children feel it. Her compassion knew no limits.

She loved her church, gave freely to fundraisers even when we had little, and taught us to trust that God would provide. Her faith never wavered. It was through her that I found my own faith. She led me by example — not through words, but through love.

She loved vacationing with family — especially to the beach, rivers, and her beloved Hawaii. She collected shot glasses from every place we visited, each one a reminder of the joy we shared together. Her two stray cats, Goldie and Grey — whom she pretended not to love — grew on her, and she never missed feeding them, just as she never missed watering her plants or keeping her yard clean and trimmed. Caring, nurturing, and making things beautiful was important to her.

She loved to dance, even if I had two left feet. She’d laugh and pull me out anyway. She loved holidays, decorations, sweet desserts, and motorcycle rides. She loved people. She loved her family. And she loved God above all.

Even in her long battle with illness, she never lost her smile. She knew it was not from God, but from the brokenness of this world. Still, she never complained or cried. She carried her cross quietly and bravely, showing us all what true strength looks like.

“We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts…”

— Romans 5:3-5

“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

— Matthew 5:5-8

Our vows were “in sickness and in health, till death do us part,” but I told her it was for eternity. I meant it. My heart is broken, but I know I’ll find her in Heaven when God calls me home. This isn’t goodbye — it’s just see you later.

Patricia, mi amor… thank you for loving me, for loving all of us. Thank you for every sacrifice, every moment, every smile. We will keep going, just like you taught us — but we will never stop missing you.

Until we dance again…

With all my love,

Your husband, Richard
