Patricia Mary (Gallagher) Voelsch, affectionately known as "Pat", age 90, passed away on April 10, 2025. She was born January 30, 1935, in Elizabeth, NJ to Walter and Amelia (Hoover) Gallagher. She grew up in Elizabeth, NJ, graduating from Battin High School in 1952, followed by working for the US Air Force in security clearances. In 1957, Pat married Walter Voelsch, Jr and moved all over the country, from Newark, NJ; Cranford, NJ; Middlesex, NJ; Brown Deer, WI; Houston, TX; Saint Charles, IL before settling in Appleton, WI. They had five children. In addition to being a stay-at-home mom for many years, she also worked as a Physical Therapist Aide and in Medical Secretarial Services.
Pat was a long-time member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Appleton, WI. She was dedicated to her family and work, and enjoyed reading, watching old movies and was an avid world traveler. An extremely caring and compassionate person, she always put other's needs before her own. The last year before her death, she lived at The Waterford at Plymouth and Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Plymouth, WI.
Pat is survived by her daughters and son: Aileen (Scott) Dahlke of Cedar Grove, WI; Carolyn (Scott) Grady of Appleton, WI; Patricia Luebke of Colgate, WI; Jo Anna (Bruce) Hoffmann of Dickinson, ND; and Walter III "Chip" (Lora) Voelsch of Geneva, IL; and brother Walter (Judith) Gallagher of Cranford, NJ. Pat was blessed with 7 grandchildren: Natalie, Christopher, Andrew, Haley, Danielle, Stephanie, and Domenique, and currently 7 great grandchildren: Amelia, Lucy, Viviana, Ellasyn, Wilder, Lily and Carmelina.
Following Pat's wishes, private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the St. Bernard Catholic Parish, 1617 W Pine St, Appleton, WI 54914.
