Patricia Ann Wondra

"Pat"

(nee Beres)

Patricia, lovingly known as Pat, age 72, of New Berlin, passed away unexpectedly on August 24, 2025. She was born on May 30, 1953, to the late Mathias and Margaret Beres.

Pat was the beloved wife of Michael "Mike" Wondra for 51 years, with whom she shared a beautiful life filled with love and family. She was the proud mother of Tracy (Brian) Breitzmann and Michael Wondra, Jr. (fiancée Brittany Nett). Her greatest joys were her cherished granddaughters, Lexi and Chloe Breitzmann, who lovingly knew her as their biggest fan.

She was the dear sister of Joseph (Ann) Beres and Judy (Tim) Houk and was preceded in death by her sister, Mary (Martin) Wondra. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws, Howard and Adel Wondra. Pat was a treasured sister-in-law to Barbara (Bob) Borek, the late Jean (Michael) Kupsik, and Carl (Carol) Wondra. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews: the late Christopher, Jason, Joey, Matt, Shelley, Carrie, David, Paul, Cathie, Tom, Jessica, and Jennifer.

A lifelong resident of New Berlin, Pat retired from Lake Financial and SIA Investments/Banc Mutual Financial. She was a faithful and longtime member of Holy Apostles Parish, where she lived out her deep faith through community and service.

Pat's life was rich with simple joys. She was an avid Milwaukee Brewers and Bucks fan, never missed a chance to enjoy frozen custard-especially Butter Pecan from Oscar's-and loved the music and energy of Grease. She was also a talented crafter, creating beautiful cross-stitch pieces and diamond art, and an excellent baker who filled her home with sweetness and love. Pat cherished spending time with family and friends, was a dedicated walker, and could often be found playing cards with a smile and competitive spirit. Her warmth, laughter, and generous heart touched everyone who knew her.

She leaves behind many special, dear friends and cousins who will hold her memory close. Though her passing came far too soon, the love she gave and the joy she brought will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Thank you to the staff at St. Luke's and Zilber Hospice for the care they provided over the past week.

Pat's life will be celebrated at HOLY APOSTLES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 16000 W. National Ave. New Berlin, WI on Friday, September 5, 2025. Visitation from 10:00 AM –12:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM, and luncheon at the church to follow.

Memorial Donations: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brewers Community Foundation, Inc. or to the Aurora Health Care Foundation in support of Zilber Hospice, whose compassionate care comforted Pat in her final days.
