Patricia Ann Wood (née Manley), of Wentzville, MO, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the age of 81.
Patricia was the devoted wife of the late Hilrie Travis Wood, who preceded her in death in 2020. At the time of his passing, they had shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a loving home, raised four daughters, and found their greatest joy in their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Born to the late Raymond and Zelma Manley, Patricia grew up in a large and close-knit family. She was the loving mother of Ronda (Tom) Fields, Brenda (Brad) Chapman, Linda (Lawrence) Altadonna, and Tonya Wood. She was also a cherished sister to Dub (Fran) and Gwenda (Chick, deceased); a proud grandmother to Brent (Holly), Jake (McKenzie), Mckenna, Nick, Piper, Gabby, Lucia, and James; and an adoring great-grandmother to Isabelle, Annabelle, Mirabelle, Levi, and Granger. Patricia was deeply loved by her many nieces and nephews and was a true and loyal friend to countless others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilrie; her sisters Geraldine, Geneva (Elwood, deceased), and Joy (David, deceased); and her brothers Norman (Jackie), Dennis (Sue), Jerry (Dot), and Paul.
Pat’s faith was the cornerstone of her life and guided her in everything she did. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—working puzzles and crosswords, watching the Game Show Network and HGTV, and enjoying shopping trips with her dear friend Carol, where they could often be found strolling through Kohl’s in search of the perfect shoes or handbag. She also delighted in her collections of teapots and bells. Above all, Patricia’s greatest happiness came from the love of her family, who were truly the center of her world.
Patricia was dearly loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
