Patricia June Yeager, 75, passed away early Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at her home in Neosho Rapids, surrounded by those most dearest to her.
She was born April 22, 1950 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Emporia. The daughter of Elijah and Betty Walkup Colglazier. Patricia attended Emporia High School and graduated with the Class of 1968.
She married the love of her life, Calvin Lee Yeager on November 25, 1967 at the Neosho Rapids United Methodist Church. They began their lives together in Emporia prior to moving to Neosho Rapids in the spring of 1974. From that point forward they would always call Neosho Rapids, home.
Patricia worked at Scotty’s Midtown. She spent over 15 years as the store manager. She volunteered with the Lyon County Fire Dist. #5 for many years, always keeping the safety of her community and those within it as a cornerstone of her service.
Patricia was an avid “Scrapbooker.” There is an entire room that Patricia dedicated to scrapbooking in her home. She took pride in passing down and sharing this passion with family or anyone who would take time to talk about it. She loved being present at as many of the grandchildren’s activities as possible. Her faith and family were the most important things in her life.
Patricia will live on in the heart and precious memories of her husband, Calvin of their home in Neosho Rapids; daughters, Shelley Brown and husband Robert, Bettina Shank and her husband Brian, Deidra Baumwart and her husband Matt, Jenika Ndegwa and Jennifer Barber and her husband Tanner; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda Stasiulis; numerous extended family and a community of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Clinton Calvin Dean Yeager; a grandson, Jeremy Gene Jenkins; a son-in-law Jason Jenkins; a brother-in-law, Tex Stasiulis and a nephew, Brian James (BJ) Stasiulis.
