Patrick J. Feely
June 16, 1946 – August 23, 2025

Patrick J. Feely, 79, of Niles, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on August 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on June 16, 1946, Patrick was the beloved son of the late Edgar and Johanna (Kennedy) Feely. A proud graduate of McBride Catholic High School, Class of 1964, Patrick remained a devout Irish Catholic throughout his life. He later earned his Master of Business Administration from Saint Louis University.

Patrick served honorably in the United States Navy, a commitment that reflected his deep love for his country. Following his military service, he enjoyed a long and successful career with General Motors as a District Sales Manager before retiring.
On August 27, 1977, Patrick married the love of his life, Barbara (Gaitskill) Feely, in St. Louis, Missouri. Together they shared 48 wonderful years of marriage, raising a family grounded in love, laughter, and integrity.

Patrick was a man of spirited enthusiasm and unwavering loyalty. An avid soccer player in his younger days and a lifelong sports fan, he proudly cheered for his beloved St. Louis Cardinals, Blues, and Battlehawks. He was a passionate reader of Stephen King novels, a masterful storyteller, and a devoted fan of classic comedy, especially the Three Stooges. Each morning, he greeted those around him with his signature phrase: "Good Irish Morning Everyone! Have a great day!"-a nod to his heritage and his ever-positive outlook.

Patrick's presence was magnetic-his warmth, humor, and patriotism left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara; his sons, Kevin Feely and Brian (Chrystal) Feely; his cherished grandchildren, Brayden Feely and Abigail Feely; and his loving siblings: Maureen Maddock, Jack Feely, Joanie Feely, Kathy Feely-O'Brien, and Peggy Torno.

A private Celebration of Life with full Navy Honors will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a military or veterans' organization of your choice in Patrick's memory.
