Patrick Dee Gill, 54, passed into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on September 23, 2024. A dedicated husband, father, and friend, Patrick lived a life filled with service, adventure, and love.
Patrick was born on May 3, 1970, to the late Dee G. Gill and Susan Creathbaum Gill. He attended and graduated from Tascosa High School 1988 in Amarillo. Soon after graduation, Patrick joined the U.S. Marine Corps, serving his country from July 25, 1988, to July 24, 1992. After leaving the Corps, he continued serving fellow veterans as a Life Member and past Chaplain of VFW Post #1475.
Patrick married Faye Gill on June 13, 1998, and they shared 26 years of life and love together. Patrick and Faye have three children, Ryan, Gracie, and Emily, who brought immense joy to Patrick's life.
An avid hunter and a talented gunsmith, Patrick had a deep passion for the outdoors and working with his hands. His family has many memories of camping and fishing together at Lake Fryer.
He is survived by his wife, Faye; children, Ryan, Gracie, and Emily; brother, Shawn Gill, and his wife Heather; sister, Heidi Blasingame, and her husband Jason; sister-in-law, Christy Velasquez, and her husband, Arthur; and nephews, Adam Gill, Easton Gill, Marcus Blasingame, Owen Blasingame, Samuel (Bailey) Velasquez, and Saul Velasquez. He also leaves behind Izzy Caperton, who was cherished like a fourth child by Patrick.
Patrick was preceded in death by his uncle, David Creathbaum, his father, Dee G. Gill, his mother, Susan Gill, and his mother-in-law, Grace Killough.
Patrick's legacy of resilience, devotion, and compassion will continue in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed, and his memory will be cherished always.
A memorial service will be held on October 12, 2024, at 11:00 am at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 6900 Hillside Road in Amarillo. Family and friends will gather for a memorial reception at the VFW Post #1475 at 6:00 pm on October 12th. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Disabled American Veterans or VFW Post #1475 in honor of Patrick's commitment to his fellow veterans or a charity of your choice.
Rest in peace, Patrick. Semper Fidelis.
