Patrick was born on September 19, 1953 in Atlanta, GA to the late William E. Griffin, Jr. and Marinette (Bernardo) Griffin. Patrick graduated from Boston College in 1975, and went on to enjoy a robust career in international finance and banking, and foreign exchange. He was fluent in both the French and German languages, which won him awards for his knowledge in those languages, as well as in English. Patrick will be remembered with love and affection by all who knew him. His daughters especially appreciate his role in fostering a love of books, learning, and creative arts.
Patrick is survived by his two daughters, Emily and Diana; his three brothers, Bill, Bernard and wife Margaret, and Philip; two nephews, Christopher and William; his niece Zoe; former wife, Stacy Bergener; and many extended family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Patrick at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South in Southbury.
