Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder Funeral Homes, Gunder Hall Chapel on Jan. 2, 2026.
Patrick E. Kelleher, age 84, entered the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at home surrounded by the love of his family.
On March 2, 1941 Patrick was born in
Shelby, Ohio. The son of the late Raymond E. and Ruth B. (Gaa) Kelleher. Patrick attended Marion Catholic High School and graduated with the class of 1959. After school, Patrick became a steel worker in metal fabrication with Plant City Steel.
On August 3, 1963 Patrick married his soulmate, Regina A. (Wolf) Kelleher. The loving couple shared 55 marvelous years together.
Patrick was a man whose life was rooted in faith, service, and genuine human connection. A devoted Catholic, Patrick was deeply involved with St. Mary Catholic Church, where his presence was felt not only in the pews but in the heart of the parish community. He lived his faith through action, giving generously of his time and talents in quiet, faithful ways that made a lasting difference.
Patrick was a proud Fourth-Degree Knight of Columbus, exemplifying the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. His dedication to service extended through his tireless volunteer work with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, where he helped care for those in need with humility, compassion, and respect.
Known and loved by many, Patrick was the favorite bingo caller and announcer at church bingo nights. With his warm voice, quick wit, and infectious enthusiasm, he turned each evening into a gathering of joy and fellowship, ensuring everyone felt welcome and included.
Outside of church, Patrick found great enjoyment in bowling, where he was an active member of his local league. Whether perfecting his technique or sharing laughs with teammates, bowling was another place where his easygoing spirit shined. He also dedicated time to the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a Scout Leader and mentor, guiding young people with patience, encouragement, and a steady example of integrity.
Patrick had a love for putting puzzles together, delighting in the challenge and satisfaction of finding where each piece belonged. That same mindset carried into everyday life, Patrick had a "MacGyver-like" ability to see a problem and fabricate a solution, often creating tools or instruments on the spot to fix whatever needed attention. His ingenuity, creativity, and practical wisdom were admired by all who knew him.
Above all, Patrick loved meeting new people. He had a natural gift for conversation and connection, making friends wherever he went. His kindness, curiosity, and welcoming spirit left a lasting impression, turning strangers into friends and moments into memories.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving children: Monica (Mark) Krpec of Fulshear, TX, Tim (Jody) Kelleher of Ostrander, Phillip Kelleher of Houston, TX, and Elizabeth Larkin of Marion; eight grandchildren: Marquie (Ben) Epperly, Mickenzi Krpec, Makayla (Braden) Janecek, Austin (Katie) Kelleher, Logan Kelleher, Jordan Kelleher, Nicholas Larkin, and Cole (Kaylee) Larkin; great-grandchildren: Henry Kelleher, Jaxyn Larkin, Axten Larkin, and Bailee Larkin; brother, Leo Kelleher; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Regina A. (Wolf) Kelleher; son, Stephen Kelleher; brothers: Timothy, Ted, and Robert Kelleher; and sister, Rosmary Steuber.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to St Mary's Catholic Church or St Vincent DePaul Society in Patrick's name.
