Patrick Klunder

Patrick Klunder, 79, a distinguished attorney and longtime resident of Libertyville, passed away on February 4, 2026, at Condell Medical Center.

Born in Chicago to Edward and Dorothy Klunder, Patrick's intellectual curiosity led him to Loyola University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology, followed by a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School. His legal career spanned five decades, during which he became a respected fixture in the Chicagoland legal community.

Beyond his successful career, Patrick was defined by his lifelong love for the outdoors-a passion sparked during childhood summers at Wonder Lake. An avid golfer, camper, and marksman, he also cherished moments spent fishing or attending the BMW Invitational at Conway Farms with his family and friends. A steadfast fan of Chicago sports, he remained a loyal supporter of the White Sox. Patrick's determination and vibrant personality left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He will be deeply missed.

Patrick is survived by his wife of 52 years Cinde; his boys Keith (Lynn) and Brian; his granddaughters Katelynn, Sarah and Lindsey; his brother E. Terrance (Carole "Candy"); three nephews and their families and last but not least his dog Gracie his special buddy. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday Feb. 13th from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville. Funeral Mass will be Saturday Feb. 14th at 10:30 AM at St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church, 236 US Hwy 45, Indian Creek with a second visitation at the church one hour prior to Mass. Private interment at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org would be greatly appreciated.
