Patrick McLaughlin

Patrick McLaughlin, 66, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, at the Bailey Center for Caring in St. Augustine, Florida.
Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Patrick was the son of the late Wilbert Lawrence and Donna Mae Neupert. He spent his formative years in Carova Beach, North Carolina, where he lived from 1969 through the 1980s. For the past 24 years, he made his home in St. Augustine.
Patrick worked in the construction field as an iron worker, a trade that suited his strong work ethic and hands-on spirit. Outside of work, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life-fishing, watching NASCAR, and riding motorcycles brought him joy and connection.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Faye McLaughlin of St. Augustine; his son, Jeff McLaughlin of Virginia Beach, VA; his stepson, Robert Croxton of Leasburg, Missouri; his sister, Donna Grandy of Grandy, NC; and his brother, John McLaughlin of St. Augustine. He was a proud grandfather to Chase and Leah McLaughlin.
In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by his brother, William McLaughlin, and sisters, Irene Williams and Valerie Collins.
Patrick will be remembered for his down-to-earth nature, his love for the outdoors, and the strong bonds he shared with his family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on September 13, 2025 at the Trout Creek Community Center, 6795 Collier Rd, Saint Augustine, FL 32092 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
