Patrick J. Norman, Jr., 83, of Wooster, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Burbank Parke Care Center with his family by his side.
Pat was born in Zanesville, Ohio on November 10, 1941, to Patrick Sr. and Evelyn (Byers) Norman and was a 1959 graduate of Philo High School. On April 20, 1963, he married the love of his life, Linda Lewis. Pat served in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967 having served in Greece. After leaving the military, Pat worked for Harco doing construction and later at the College of Wooster as a custodian. Pat loved all things sports, having helped coach his sons' sports teams, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren compete in athletics, as well as being a huge Norwayne sports and OSU football and basketball fan. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family as he visited Linda at Burbank Parke as often as he could and that he always put his family as his first priority in his life.
Pat is survived by his wife of 61 years Linda; sons and their wives, Scott and Carol Norman and Tom and Jen Norman; grandchildren Torrie and Ian Speicher, Tarren Norman, and Riley Norman and her fiancé, AJ Kandel; and a soon to be great grandchild Ezekiel Kandel.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Florence, Walt, and Merle.
Family Services will be held at a later date with burial taking place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Norwayne Athletics Booster Club, 350 S. Main St., Creston, OH 44217.
