Patrick J. "Bud" Raimondi, age 67, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1967, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Arista Healthcare in Naperville. He was born on May 26, 1957, in Chicago.
Beloved son of Joan M. (nee Carmody) and the late Victor V. "Vic" Raimondi, loving brother of Steve Raimondi, Mike Raimondi, Bob (Laura) Raimondi and an infant sister, the late Mary Lou Raimondi, adored Uncle of Kaitlin (fiancé, Nate Monis) Raimondi and Alyssa Raimondi, dear nephew of Harry (Irene) Raimondi and Mary Ann (the late Frank) Jakalski, (the late) Aunt Patty and Uncle Eddie Huot, and (the late) Uncle Don Carmody, fond cousin and friend of many.
Bud moved to Naperville in 1967, attended Lincoln Junior High School and was a 1975 graduate of Naperville Central High School where he was a founding member of the Naperville Astronomical Association (NAA) in 1973. He earned his bachelor's degree in Physics and a master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, worked for several companies during his career, the majority of which were at Sargent & Lundy in Chicago.
Bud was enthusiastic about astronomy, enjoyed bowling with his father, Vic, and loved a cold Michelob beer.
Bud has a favorite Philosopher to be unnamed, a quote:
"Let us focus on what we create within our own minds that is expanding in time, like the Universe, we each have a Big Bang on this planet Earth, harbor and embrace it. God Speed to all."
Services and interment will be private.
