Celebrating the Life of Patsy Ann Drummond

Patsy Ann Drummond, affectionately known as Pat, peacefully entered eternal rest on January 26, 2026, at her home in Melfa, Virginia. She was born on March 28, 1954, in Atlantic, Virginia, to Gladys Brown and the late Harvey Taylor, Sr.

She was educated in Accomack County Public Schools and later furthered her education by earning an Associate's Degree from Eastern Shore Community College. Patsy retired from Perdue Farms after more than 30 years of dedicated service. Following her retirement, she enjoyed serving as a teacher's aide in Accomack County Public Schools. She was also a minister at Faith Community Church, where she faithfully served and inspired others through her walk with Christ.

She loved loving on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything, finding her greatest joy in time spent with them. She also enjoyed doing word searches, cruising the seas, and spoiling her beloved Yorkie, Pixie.

She was preceded in death by her son, Antonio Brown; her father, Harvey Taylor, Sr.; her brother, Ralph Harmon; and Shellie Leroy Brent, whom she lovingly referred to as her "dad."

Patsy leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Printis Drummond; her children, Anthony Taylor, Sr., Tremayne (LaToya) Joynes, and Dysheta (Keyon) Wiggins; her mother, Gladys Brown Brent; thirteen grandchildren, Tierra, DeAntoine, Tramesha, Terrica, Terry, Carnaya, Tonazja, An-thony, Jr., Shaniah, Jayden, Kyrie, Quantae, and Jayceon; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She also leaves many cherished memories with her siblings, Harvey (Louise) Taylor, Jr., Shirley Lovett, Deborah Crippen, Terry Taylor, Keith Brown, Barrie Brown, Lynette Taylor, Gloria Douglas, Laura Ann Broughton, Robin Tucker, and Bernice (Jeffery) Wilson; her sister-in-law, Nancy Harmon; her brother-in-law, Ralph (Linda) Drummond; two special nieces, Shymeika Brown and Kenya Strand; special nephew, Deitrick Drummond; and three very special friends, Liz, Maggie, and Gloria; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
