Patsy "Patricia" Ann (Holloway) Mayfield, age 73, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024.
Born a "Coal Miners Daughter" on January 18, 1951, in Barthell, KY, Patsy was the daughter of Esau Francis Holloway and Flora Marie (Downs) Holmes. She attended North Harrison High School in Ramsey, IN, and went on to build a notable career as a Cosmetic Specialist selling Mary Kay and later working at Walgreens in Highlander Point. Known for her vibrant personality, Pat was a spunky, funny, and friendly makeup consultant who had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued.
Pat enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life, including bowling and playing cards with friends alongside her former husband, Woody. Her love for flowers, shopping, and old Western movies brought her great joy. Pat's passion for life extended to her relationships; she deeply cherished her time spent with family and friends. Pat never met a stranger. she was known for her spontaneous wit, and her ability to make others laugh, and feel loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents including step-father, Lester Holmes; her former husband, Woody Mayfield; and her brother, Kenny Holloway Sr.
Patsy is survived by her son, Nick (Stacy) Mayfield; her grandsons, Nicholis (Jasmine Murphy) Mayfield and Levi Mayfield; her sister, Gloria (Arlin) Voyles; her companion, Donald Byrne; her beloved cat, "Mr. Kitty"; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM at Love Funeral Home, Palmyra, IN. Funeral services will follow at 5:30 PM. Patsy will be cremated as per her wishes.
