Patti Sue Reardon, 64, passed on July 4, 2023 at Benefis East Hospital in Great Falls due to stage 4 esophagus (throat) cancer. She fought hard for 5 ½ years.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 28, at 2pm at Mountain View Baptist Church.
Patti was born on March 12, 1959 to Hallie and Dorothy Syth in Cut Bank. Pattie was raised in Cut Bank until she went to Job Corp for a short time.
Patti met Randy Morsette. They married in 1978 and to that union had 6 children. They were married 25 years before divorcing but remained best friends.
Pattie worked as a housekeeper for various hotels/motels until she slipped and injured her back. She would babysit for friends.
In 2004 Patti married Tom Reardon. They have been married for 19 years. To this union she gained two stepdaughters, Mary and Carrie.
During her time living in Havre Patti was best friends with Beth Cocharn for 30 years.
Patti's hobbies were watching WWE Wrestling on Monday and Friday night, playing bingo, helping at her local church clothing closet on Thursdays, scrolling Facebook, enjoying collecting antiques, watching movies, texting her children, and spending time with family and friends.
Patti was diagnosed with esophagus cancer in May 2018. She had several surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation. During that time, she stayed in Great Falls for her treatments.
Patti went into remission from the beginning of 2019 to September 2020. The cancer returned full blown to Stage 4. She started autoimmune treatment.
Patti's second oldest daughter, Marge Morsette, died on January 11, 2023 due to a heart attack.
At the time of her death, Patti was surrounded by her husband, remaining 5 children, grandson, granddaughters, nephews, and niece.
Survivors include husband, Tom; daughters, Cecelia Morsette (Mike Dean), Crystal Albers (Dean Fasel), and Janet Morsette; sons, Wayne Morsette and John Morsette (Kayla Evans); stepdaughters, Mary and Carrie Reardon; 16 grandchildren; 2 great nephews and a niece; numerous nieces and nephews.
My beloved wife Patti Sue passed away at 9:30 pm July 4, 2023 in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the 5th floor of Benefis hospital South Tower. The cancer in her throat (smoking tobacco) had progressed to many parts of her body, causing much pain which she endured valiantly to the end. Even though she was unable to eat normally, because she had a feeding tube into her stomach, she always cooked food for me. The last note that I got from her was about the apple and strawberry pies she wrote were for July 4th. At 8:20 pm (the time it is said that Abraham Lincoln died) on July 4th she squeezed my hand and with her lips said "I love you" in response to my saying to her that Jesus loves her and so do I. Patti's open casket funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Friday July 28, 2023 at Mountain View Baptist church located in North West Cut Bank. Cremation will follow and then she will be interred in the Crown Hill cemetery located a short distance north of Cut Bank where she will be laid to rest with her Father Hallie Arthur Syth, Mother Dorothy Mae (Goetzke) Syth, Aunt Dorothy, Sister Wanda Ferguson and daughter Margaret Ann Morsette. Rest In Peace beloved Peggy, mother of our daughters and beloved Patti until Jesus, the Lord our God returns and the dead in Christ will rise first then we will join then together to live with our Lord and Savior in peace on earth as it is in heaven amen.
