Patty Kay Gensburger passed away on June 9, 2024, at the age of 66, following a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan with Kourtney Willer and Al Thomas officiating.
Patty was born September 15, 1958. She attended school in Grafton, ND, graduating from the eighth grade and then returned home to Bismarck. A few years later, Patty was married and they divorced a short time later. This union blessed her with one child. Some years later, Patty met a special friend, Glen Cowen and moved to Alliance, Nebraska. In 2017, Patty found an apartment at Liberty Heights in Mandan where she lived for the past 7 years. This was the perfect place for her to live and she absolutely loved living in the community and the many friends she made there. Patty enjoyed her lunches, caramel rolls, playing Bingo and Bonco. Her favorite pastime was being outside visiting with friends and neighbors.
A very special thank you to Donna Speidel for always being there for Patty over the last month and supplying her with lattes.
Patty is survived by her one son, John Gensburger Jr.; sisters, Sheri (Al, her favorite!) Thomas and Karen (Clyde) Sabot; and brother, Tim Hogue.
Patty was preceded in death by her father, A.E. Hogue Jr.; mother, Patty Jo Hogue; and brother, Kenneth “Bucky” Hogue.
