Varner, Patty Jo, 60, McVeytown, passed away Monday December 11, 2023, at Penn Highlands Huntingdon. Born March 23, 1963, Lewistown, daughter of the late Harold William and Helen Agnes (Boozel) Smith. Survived by her children, Leroy Varner Jr. and wife, Stacy; Randy Varner and wife, Danyle; and Shawn Varner and wife, Alicia; 11 grandchildren, Tayla, Raieghlyn Wright, Braytin, Kasey, Kenley, Brynlee, Paislee, Trace, Ensley, Haizley, and Weston; siblings, Kathy House and husband, Glen; Harold “June Bug” Smith; David “Peekie” Smith and wife, Katie; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by sibings, Glenn “Dunni” Boozel; Terry “Boo” Smith and Deb Lane. Patty was a 1981 graduate of Mount Union Area High School. She was a former Mount Union Area School District Cafeteria employee. She loved gardening, canning, and getting together with family and friends. Patty enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and baking. She could regularly be found sitting on her porch enjoying nature. Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren. Patty will be remembered for her heart of gold and giving nature. She was proud of her “boys”. Family and friends will be received on Friday December 15, 2023, for visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home, Pastor Jerry Wise, officiant. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
