Lane, Raymond E., 88, Mount Union, died Monday August 25, 2025, at Embassy of Woodland Park, Orbisonia. Born November 14, 1936, Springfield Twp., Huntingdon Co. son of the late Homer E. and Roxie B. (Rohrer) Lane. Married Mary E. (Ruth) Lane on March 26, 1955, in the Three Springs Methodist Church, Three Springs, PA. She preceded him in death on March 29, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Norman Lane. Mr. Lane was a faithful member of the CMA Church. He was also a member of the Teamster’s Local #8, State College. Raymond retired on March 26, 1995, with 28 years of service in the maintenance department at Penn State University. He loved his job and was awarded for his loyal attendance in his department. In their early years, he and his wife enjoyed car trips and picnic lunches during their travels. Raymond was also an avid walker and for many years could be seen walking the streets of Mount Union with his infectious smile and pleasant demeanor. Family and friends will be received on Friday August 29, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Private interment to be at Old School Baptist Cemetery, Three Springs. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the charity of one’s choice in honor of Raymond. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E. Shirley Street, Mount Union, “Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care TM.” Condolences may be made at AndersonFamilyFuneralHomes.com.
