Paul W. Ater was a loving husband, stepfather, brother, son, and friend. His time on Earth ended unexpectedly on Saturday, 27 July 2024, in Buda Texas. He was born on September 14 1989 in Austin Texas. He attended Jack C. Hays High School before enlisting into the U.S. Army. He was a proud veteran and served our country honorably from July 13 2009 to July 11 2016.
Paul was a genuine force of nature, a what you saw is what you got kinda guy! He never gave up in any situation, no matter what, he looked out for those closest to him when they needed him. His lighthearted and kind nature radiated and filled our lives with laughter that could only come from him, number one jokester.
He is survived by his wife, the love of his life Pamela Lugo Ater, his mom Patricia Lynne Ater, dad John Rauscher, brother Sam Rauscher, sisters Erin Wilson and Kaeleigh Rauscher, stepdaughter Zoe, Stepson Matthew, as well as two nieces.
Please join us celebrating his life Wednesday evening August 7, 2024 visitation is between 5pm – 7pm; with service starting at 7pm at Harrell Funeral Home (Kyle location), 1715 Kirby, Kyle Texas 78640.
