Paul E Christman, age 65 of Staten Island, NY went home into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Friday, September 26, 2025 with his family by his side, after being diagnosed in February with ALS. He was born to George and Marion Christman and grew up in his beloved Great Kills. He graduated from Tottenville High School in 1977. He worked for the Board of Education as a School Safety Officer , working nights until 1993 when he became a NYS court officer until his retirement in 2018, where he made many friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Paul was an avid reader of anything that had to do with history, particularly the Civil War and revolutionary war. He visited many of the battlefields and enjoyed traveling the country. He also enjoyed antiquing and had a glass collection. He enjoyed working in the yard and planting flowers. He loved music and went to many concerts. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard. Paul is survived by his wife of 35 years Lois (Carmichael) his Son Thomas and his daughter-in-law Teresa (Anderson) as well as his sister-in-law Rhonda, brother-in-law Hector, nephews Emilio and Dominic and his niece in law, Tiana. Friends may visit with the family at the John Vincent Scalia home for funeral at 28 Eltingville Blvd., Staten Island, NY on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations can be made to ALS.org in his honor
