Mr. Paul David Culp, 73, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026, at his home. He was born November 21,1952, in Lancaster, a son of the late Perry Mack Culp and Meral Jean Moore Culp. Mr. Culp drove a school bus while attending high school. He also worked at Harris Teeter, Piggly Wiggly, Grace Bleachery, The Iron Foundry and retired from Morrison Textiles in 2018 after working there for 45 ½ years. Mr. Culp loved working on small engines as a past time before and after retirement. He enjoyed taking rides in his classic car that he named "Elmer" after he replaced the engine. Mr. Culp helped friends and neighbors with their lawn mowers, weed eaters and chain saws. He enjoyed watching Nascar and going to the car shows in Concord. Mr. Culp loved dressing up as Santa and seeing the smiles and joy that it brought to the kids.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Culp will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Church with the Rev. Steve Anglin and Rev. Chris Blackmon officiating.

Mr. Culp is survived by his wife, Mary Gainer Culp of Lancaster; a step-son, David Galloway (Clayton) of Newberry; a brother, Steve Culp of Lancaster; a sister, Linda Catledge (Robert) of Gastonia; a sister-in-law, Maria Culp of Lancaster; adopted grandsons, Anthony Loynes of Fort Bliss, Texas and Jailen Loynes of Newberry; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Paul Eugene Culp, and a brother, Jeffrey Bryant.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Bethel Baptist Church and other times at the home, 2680 JB Denton Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
